Oooeeerrrr!!!!!

There was some problems with the blogger the other night and it wasn't accepting my uploads. Or, so I thought. I tried 3 times to post and then gave up and came back the next day.

Anyway, it apparently did work, because my mate, Cubby informed me this morning that I had 4 of the same post on here. lol. Anyway, all sorted now. I promise I'm not in the habit of repeating myself that often.

Thanks, Andy.

Sunshine today but whether or not I'll make use of it is anybody's guess. I'll probably be sat at this machine again until midnight.

Have a good bank holiday, everybody.

SUMMER DREAMING

I've got square eyes today. I've been sitting at this pooter all day. This is the second image I've put together. A nice gentle one for a change.

"THE MASKED CAT"

I've been playing with Photoshop again. This is my Harvey wearing a mask I made from Polymer Clay. (another one of my hobbies). Half a dozen layers, a couple of layer masks and a couple of different blending modes.

Isn't he a handsome bugger, lol.

NEW BABY COMING!!!!!!

Well, I haven't posted for a week so thought I better update. Mind you, I haven't had much to say really. I've still got a bad back from all my rubbish clearing. I must have really given it some stick, but it's getting there. Not as sore as it was.

I ordered a new baby today. I'm finally upgrading to a DSLR. I shall miss my Canon G5 dreadfully, but I'm ready to move on now. She will arrive in her new home on Tuesday, so I can't wait to play with her.

I'm not expecting miracles as I know it's the person that takes the photo and not the camera, but it's gotta help, hasn't it? lol. I hope so anyway.

Apart from the Photoshop Creative forum I'm also a member of a wonderful Photography Forum. The guys on there will help me, I know. They're a great bunch with a wealth of knowledge. http://www.beckhamforum.co.uk/forum/index.phpI've also started making slide shows with some software called Pictures to Exe. It's excellent and I'm really enjoying this new part of my hobby.

Anyway, all for now. More photos coming soon.
Take care of yourselves.

BUG OFF....

I've got a thing about bugs at the moment. Hmmm, wonder what that says about me. Anyway, here's the bug on my hand I was talking about earlier.

SOMETHING'S BUGGING ME!!!!

Playtime with Photoshop. Brushes, blending modes, my cat Harvey, and James Beer's paint background. Thank you, James. No theme, no sense to this at all. But....I like it.

DRIZZLE, DRIZZLE

Skip No. 2 was delivered today. I've still got loads of rubbish to clear, but the weather has turned. It's drizzling constantly. So, shall I get wet or shall I play with Photoshop????? Ha, ha, no contest. Tee hee.

Anyway, here's another photograph that I took in my back garden. It took me over a week to be able to capture a ladybird just where I wanted it. (Then I got one on my hand, inside the house too. Coming soon.) However, the manipulations in PS were not done by me. A friend on my photography forum did that, and I didn't feel I could better it, so I've stuck with it. Thanks, Phil. I really like this lighting effect.

Busy Breaking my Back

Cor, what a couple of days I've had. Yesterday I filled a whole skip with rubbish all on my own. So much garden rubbish and other stuff. I really did too much, but that's me. All or nothing and there was nobody to help, so had to do it. Got rid of some more today and did some gardening too. Treated my Roses to some TLC today. I love my Roses. Then....the heavens opened. It is absolutely tipping it down here.

I was hoping to post another piccie last night. I played around for ages with a pic of a hand and a ladybug. Could I come up with something........no way!!!!! Ah well, something will come soon, I'm sure.

I'm off to get some tea in a tic. Gonna have some salmon and salad. Quick and easy. I'm too cream crackered to do anything else. lol.

Today's Events

Weather so hot today. I can't stand it. Had a nice lunch with friends. Drank a couple of glasses of Bailey's over ice and had cheese and biscuits. Very nice it was too.
I had an email from 'Advanced Photoshop' mag and they want to print my 'Floating Sauce', so I'm really chuffed about that.
The previous ............oh never mind, you don't want to read all that rubbish. I'm off to play with my camera again.

But before I go, I'd like to thank those of you that have already commented on my work. I'm very grateful and very chuffed that you took the time to do it.

That was fun.

Well, I've posted some of my photographs and some stuff I've played around with in Photoshop. For a first blog and a first photo site, I'm quite chuffed, lol.

Cousin in Brown

My cousin, Kevin is the only one that will let me take his photo, and even then, I have to break his arm first.

Cousin Kev

Sitting by the window.

Portrait of a Smoker

My mother will not let me take her photograph, so this is the best I could do.

Watch Out!!!!! I'm coming...

Breaking Out of Frame technique in Photoshop.

My cat was on my settee. The sky was taken from my back door. More fun in Photoshop.

Floating Sauce

A bottle of Ketchup
and the flood filter.

This butterfly landed on a friends hand. I played around in Photoshop and came up with this.

May 9th 2006

This is my first ever blog. I don't really know what to do with it, but I suppose it gives me somewhere to sound off sometimes.

I will be posting some of my photographs and Photoshop work too.
