ONE FOR THE BOYS.

It's time for challenge #106 over at THE CRAFTY PAD and this weeks theme is 'Something for the Boys'. I find most crafters seem to have trouble with men/boy cards, including me lol, but I'm sure you'll all come up with some great designs.

Before I show you my card, I've just a bit of news to share. We'd like to welcome ALI and LEESA to our design team. Also, as of next week, I will be taking over the running of The Crafty Pad challenge blog. For my card, I chose to use the beaded shoe and stuck little pearls all over the design. The centre of the shoe is done with liquid pearls and it was coloured with Promarkers. The papers were some old ones in my stash along with the lace and the punch is Martha Stewart. The sentiment ticket is one of the lovely ones available from the Crafty Pad Stamp Designs. The embossing folder is from Crafts Too.

K.I.S.S.

It's Wednesday again and challenge #49 at I ♥ PROMARKERS this week is K.I.S.S. Keep It Sweet and Simple. So you can do anything you like but not too busy. Nice one, eh? :o) Our great sponsor this week is SENTIMENTS 4 YOU. They are offering a $10 spend and there's loads of lovely digital sentiments to download. The DT have used one of the ticket sentiments this week.

My card ended up not being quite so simple, lol. I stamped my peacock, did my embossing and put it all together and was quite pleased with it.


OK. What's wrong with it then? I didn't realise until the lovely Tine asked me had I used Promarkers to do it? Ha, ha, nope. Doh!! Of course, this being a Promarker challenge, I had to use them. I was going to make a new card but then decided to get my Marine, Turquoise and Bright Green out and colour it a bit.



I used my Crafts Too 'Flowers and Daisies' embossing folder again and the peacock is from the Kanban 'Peacock' set. There are some fabulous stamps in this set including the most gorgeous bird cage.

Apologies for being a day late with my post this week.

For my card, I used two images from the new baby range available at THE CRAFTY PAD STAMP DESIGNS. The baby was coloured with Promarkers and the dummy image was printed, traced, transferred to shrink plastic and, well...shrunk, lol.

Challenge #48 over at I ♥ PROMARKERS this week is to use punches. You may use your diecuts too but you MUST include some punch work. We will be scrutinizing the entries this week as we have such a fabulous prize, so please make sure you use your punches.

For my card, I used an image by Elizabeth Dulemba and my paper is from a Prima paper pad 'Fairy Flora'. I used Martha Stewarts deep lattice and eyelet lace punches and the flower and leaves were also punched, although you can't see the leaves behind the flower very well. The image frame is a Nestabilities Label 16. The flower isn't as vibrant in real life, lol. It looks almost fluorescent here!!!!

IT'S A BIRTHDAY ONE...

We're back!!! Our first challenge of the year over at THE CRAFTY PAD is a really easy one for you - Happy Birthday. We are sponsored this week by CRAFTY RIBBONS and the prize is these lovely ribbons.


For my card I used a grey pearlescent card and yellow. I haven't quite got all my mojo back yet so went for something relatively simple. The image 'Birthday Meeces' is available from THE CRAFTY PAD STAMP DESIGNS. The image was coloured with Promarkers and I embossed the back using a Crafts Too embossing folder and a Cuttlebug greeting border. Flowers, ribbon and brads from Papermania Sunshine collection. The frame is Nestabilities Label 7.

NEW YEAR RECYCLING.

Well, here we are. 2011. I wish each and every one of you a wonderful year and hope that those of you that had a lousy 2010 will find life much easier.

So..I ♥ PROMARKERS is starting off the new year with challenge #47 - Recycling. We want to see something recycled on your project and you must tell us what it is and what it was from. Not too difficult, eh?

For my card I used a Sarah Kay image but can't remember what it's called. Sorry. The lovely circular sentiment is a digital one from Pollycrafts and my paper, ribbon and bow were recycled from a box of Lily O'Brien's choccies.
